In the UK we are experiencing an unprecedented influx of illegal immigrants. Though, I doubt they are illegal because as soon as they come off the boats in droves, they are taken to safety, given housing, food and a new life. However, the media presents an illegal immigration crisis which is stirring up the patriots.
It is understandable, our veterans fought hard for our land and the government for whatever reason seems to be driven to undermine the values and traditions our country has held dear. With that said, I was once against these ‘illegals’ but God is showing me that His heart is that ALL WILL BE SAVED. Not some, but He desires that every person would come into a relationship with Him because of the gift He gave us in Jesus, who was sent to the world, not just select parts of it.
I have already lost one friend (after expressing what God revealed to me) because of my ‘attitude of forgiveness’ and because ‘I am clearly more devout than they are’ (their words not mine). This made me feel sad, not because I lost a friend but because they have Jesus Christ as their profile picture and the further I looked into their profile (which I don’t do often, too busy!) I realised it was full of anger, strife, lewdness.
So now there are two big things on my heart – to pray for the Christians in this land to be representatives of Christ, instead of using His name like a banner for the countries morals while fundamentally failing to uphold them; and to pray that God raises up Christians to spread the love of Christ to the immigrants because whatever their purpose coming here, if it nefarious, no one is beyond redemption.
Please pray for the United Kingdom
